Theme: SPACE TIME COLOUR
Colour is an integral part of our everyday lives and as such is significant in how we experience situations emotionally and cognitively. Colour, for example, influences atmosphere, meaning, legibility, identity and a sense of belonging. It can assist us to recognize geographical, historical and cultural distinctions. Through the National Conference 2014, we will explore the roles that colour plays across space and time.
Time raises questions of duration as well as historical dimensions. Likewise, space challenges us to think of colour in relation to scale, location and illusions of containment. Both can be interpreted as ephemeral, dynamic, and evolutionary as much as being defined or measurable.
